Unto the Breach (Dear Friends)

A selection of works made and collaborated on during a three-week intervention at Firstdraft Gallery in Sydney.

These works were presented as part of a collaborative project with Penelope Benton, Camille Serisier, Agatha Gothe-Snape and Sean Rafferty, all of whom were on the board of Firstdraft alongside myself in 2007.  We all share a deep affection for the organisation and it was lovely to have the opportunity of working together again in the space.  Our objective was to work directly with the structure and materials of  the gallery, reflecting on the peripheral role which our own creativity and individual practices necessarily took whilst administering the space. Many thanks to Firstdraft for this opportunity and to my dear friends, former colleagues and collaborators for sharing the experience, both then and now.
